Petra and Jade have returned and I couldn't be happier. These ladies went through hell to get where they are and unfortunately it's not over as one of Jade's exes wants payback. That pretty much sums up the plot, however it's not that simple. You want to read this book not just for the plot of 2 girls backing down to no one, or the fantastic secondary characters, but because the storytelling is that good. You will be artfully immersed in the sights, the sounds, and all the characters and how they react to one another and to danger. Not quite novel length, it's a good way to spend an afternoon immersed in another world. I would prefer it to be longer - a lot longer, only because I really liked the secondary characters as much as Petra and Jade, and would have loved more background on them. And yes, some of us in the Northwoods do talk like those characters in the movie Fargo. Anyway, enjoy it, because this is why we read books - to be entertained and delighted in the storytelling.Product details

This was a fun quick read. I always love characters that are batsh!t crazy and Alice was that! Stalkers are scary but they make good stories and this one was good.

Quick read! I had a snow day today, so I finished it in a little over 2 hours. It will keep you glued to the pages. The characters reflect people you know in real life, and give you a warm feeling (well except for Ruthless). I could not help but think there was MORE. Looks like Kelli Jae Baeli's muse is telling her the same. Look forward to more from this author couple from Wisconsin.
HAH!! This was so much fun!! It is great to be back meeting Jade and Petra again......and old friends and new ones. It seems that all these two have to do to find trouble is show up! The characters are people you meet and likeable (well not Ruthless - she should have run over) and the interaction between all of them is real and almost audible. I can hardly wait for the next installment of the tales in Wisconsin.
Building Character continues the action from Book 1 in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. If possible, I loved Book 2 even more than Book 1, Throwing Caution. This book depicted very strong primary and secondary female characters who combine efforts to take down Ruth Harp. The book is so suspenseful that I found it difficult to put down. Baeli is an expert at not only developing the primary characters, but also the secondary ones. With that in mind I really want to see more of Detective Erin "Sam" Samorske in Book 3.
Building Character Book 2, Northwoods Trilogy
This is the 1st review I have written. I just send the last 4 hours reading book 1 and 2. I could not put it down. Love the characters , felt like I was right there in the story. I hope book 3 will be out soon. This book will definitely be read several times just like Pitfall.
